Education is Power.

On January 26, 2018, I partnered with John Walker to start a non-profit organization called “LevelUp”. The organization began as a two-part, mentoring, and tutoring program. Our goal is to equip children with the necessary tools to be successful, despite their current situation. We became successful mentors by connecting with children on a personal level and discovering their individual motivating factors. We became successful tutors by entering into the classrooms and providing hands on assistance to each student. The two, mentoring and tutoring, go hand in hand because it is important that students understand they are currently laying the foundation that will mold their future and ultimately get them closer or further from accomplishing their goals.

Through the success of the LevelUp academic mentoring program, we were able to shift focus to starting another aspect of the business, LevelUp Athletes. LevelUp Athletes will help children continue to build character through athletics. Our goal is to give the younger generation the opportunity to further develop athletically all while building a strong foundation that will support them for a lifetime. LevelUp Athletes ties in well with all of the principles of LevelUp and gives us the opportunity to share a great amount of knowledge that we have gained over the years with the next generation about the game of football. It is a pleasure working alongside a couple guys that are well known in the community and highly recommended by myself and everyone. Jalen Johnson and Jonathan Butler both expressed interest in the work when we first began LevelUp. Thankfully, life has now afforded us the opportunity to join together and begin this journey.
